Given the competitive nature of the UK online betting space, Casumo aimed to further strengthen its market position by increasing user acquisition and boosting engagement among high-quality players.

Goal/Objective: Acquiring High-Value Depositors and Expanding Casumo’s User Base in the UK

Casumo partnered with our UA team by granting Appsflyer permission to the SpinX channel, with the main objective of acquiring high-value depositors while increasing brand presence in the highly competitive UK market.
SpinX focused on not just increasing app installs, but acquiring users who would engage long-term and actively deposit. The goal was to optimize user acquisition by lowering the cost per acquisition (CPA) and improving conversion rates while ensuring compliance with UK gaming regulations.
To achieve this, we structured a performance-driven campaign where bidding was based on each newly acquired active depositing user in the UK, with no costs tied to installs, sign-ups, or redeposits.

Challenges: Navigating Evolving User Behavior and Engagement Trends

The UK online gaming and betting industry is constantly evolving, with shifting user behaviors and preferences driven by emerging trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes. Casumo needed to adapt to these dynamics by identifying and targeting users most likely to engage long-term.
Additionally, user acquisition strategies that once proved effective were becoming less reliable due to changing privacy policies, increased competition for digital ad space, and the rise of alternative entertainment options. Casumo had to refine its approach to not only acquire new users but also sustain engagement and maximize player lifetime value in a rapidly changing market.

Approach :

To overcome these challenges, SpinX implemented a targeted User Acquisition strategy focused on acquiring users most likely to deposit within the Casumo platform. This was achieved through:

  • DSP Integration: Utilizing our demand-side platform (DSP) to access a network of over 1,000 app developers and 20 SSPs, ensuring broad yet precise user acquisition reach.

Advanced Analytics & Optimization:

Continuous optimization played a crucial role in improving Casumo’s campaign performance. Through ongoing collaboration with media partners, we enhanced scalability while ensuring high operational efficiency.

  • Fraud Prevention: We deployed our proprietary ad fraud detection and prevention measures to safeguard Casumo’s ad spend, ensuring high-quality acquisitions and eliminating invalid traffic.
  • Real-Time Performance Tracking: By leveraging data-driven insights, we continuously adjusted targeting and bidding strategies to maximize ROI and reduce CPA.
  • Scalability & Expansion: By integrating additional PIDs and optimizing campaign settings, we enabled Casumo to scale efficiently while maintaining strong user engagement.
